First of the Month Means Shopping!!!!!!

Today is the first day of May which means that quite a few events opened up today. I admit that at times I am one of those people who stays up waiting for the clock to strike 12am SLT; this time I didn't and I am happy that I didn't do such, getting some much needed sleep. There are three events that I went too today; Pink Fusion Hunt, Fameshed and a new one that I had never heard about until a few days ago Enchantment. I'm going to break each this down into sections so please forgive me if my post goes a bit longer than normal.

The Pink Fusion Hunt has 50 stores that each have an item hidden in their store for only 5L. Some of the designers that I like are there such as REIGN, Gawk!, Holli Pocket, and Forever Young Those are just a few to name out of the many stores offering goodies. I'm going to focus only on two of the items that I got today.

Pink Fusion Hunt Outfit offered by Lolita

Above is an outfit that Lolita had,a nice zip tube top and light faded jean shorts. As you can see it comes with appliers for both the Linc Phat/Cute Azz as well as for Lolas.  I very much liked the zip detail of the top even with the Lolas on. It's going to make such a wonderful summertime outfit.

Pink Fusion Buckled Pumps Offered by REIGN.

Above are shoes from a store that I have grown to love so much over the last month; REIGN. I have to give a shout out here to Illy Reign and Kenadee Reign Funeral these two women work their asses off making a number of shoes that I have been beyond impressed with, as well as their friendliness in their store group chat that I was 'coaxed' into finally speaking in yesterday. Their store has had a number of new releases as of late so I knew to expect something good once more and I wasn't disappointed at all what so ever. For Pink Fusion they offered Buckled Pee-Toe Pumps for Slink High Feet but the bonus is that they came in the two toned color above as well as a solid pink as well. So I got two pair of shoes for 5L, how on earth can you beat that?

This month at Fameshed there are many offerings but this time around I was drawn in more by a lovely dining room table, chairs, lighting and rack all called Darya that I saw by Trompe Loeil. Sadly it's not all sold together which would have been nice but for that they make up by offering three different tables and chairs in color palettes Spring, Autumn and Neutral. I decided to get the Spring for both table and chairs; you can change the texture of the fabric to one of the 23 offered through the menu. The table also come with one without a table cloth as well as plates which are texture change, salt and pepper shakers, napkins with silverware within, wine glasses and plain silverware. All of which are copyable so you can rez out as many as you would like.

Here's the set up of my dining room for the moment:

Yum!

Look who popped in for Brunch; My Sister Mandy!

This month's round of Enchantment is themed 'Sleeping Beauty' with 20 stores participating. I found many things that I love, but there is also something new going on. With your purchase there is a stamp card, wear the stamp card and TP around to all 20 stores to collect stamps to fill the card. Once the card is full, you can redeem it for any prize available at the prize location, which is given once you grab that very last stamp! I had two cards and gave one to my sister so that she could pick out a prize as well. I'll be getting two more items for the stamp cards, as those prizes offered are really something special!

Here are some of the items that I got today:

Mirror Mirror, Am I Pretty?

On my vanity you'll see on the right Little Brior Rose N&S Reed Diffuser from
!Ohmai for 75L and on the left, Night Time Care - Evil Fairy from O.M.E.N. for 75L as well.

Close Up of Merry Weather Pose by !bang

The pictures above are from the Merry Weather pose offered by !bang for 250L. First off I have to give a shout out to Luna Jubilee, I had an issue with my stamp card not being in the package and she helped me out and was so very kind about it; be sure to check out her blog which I linked as it's another one on which I lurk silently. I love almost everything that !bang poses has to offer; I admit that I am there weekly wondering what other poses to add to my ever growing collection. I really love the different angle at which you can take a close up, like the last picture for example. I was posing with my sister Mandy and it was a lot of fun.

I'll share some of the prizes that I got for Enchantment in my next post hopefully, they really are offering some wonderful things. Well I better end this.. it's rather long. Until next time! ♥

Bokeh Crazy!!!!!!

Last night I was randomly looking up Photoshop Tutorials and came across one of how to make your own Bokeh Effect. I thought that I would give it a try and came up with two original images of my own making below.

They may not look like much but to me someone who has been trying their hardest to figure out Photoshop, this is a huge step for me. It's so odd how simple steps can help to create something that I, myself find beautiful. Next I decided to play around with the effect a bit in photos that I took after my sister TPed me to; Lost Beach , a place that's great for photos if you have the animations as you cannot rez there at all.  Below is some of what I did.. it might not seem all that great but you cannot become better at something you are passionate about without trying and taking some risks.

See simple enough, I like how they came out. If anyone can send some more tips my way, I would be so appreciative. I'm using Photoshop CS6 if that helps out with anything... I leave you with a few more photos ♥

Did You Remember Too? Did You...?

First off I have to throw a lot of credit to miss Strawberry Singh, as once again thanks to lurking on her blog I have found something which made me not only smile but add a bit more to my office at the same time. :D At the end of her post for the Monday Meme she took a moment to talk about a new product from Plethora - The New Custom Tablets Priced at 1500L. I of course had to go have a look (Totally getting one next week!) and while I was there found quite a few things that I simply feel in love with but the thing that I ended up loving the very most were the Chalkboard Checklists!!! There are 10 commons and 2 rares to play for, each one is 1 land impact and are priced at 25L per gacha play. I got a few and set them up in my office; what do you all think?

Down Time at home in my office with Izzie ♥

My office for the time being

I love these cute little checklists, I placed out the four which I do use and think about the most often; Blogging,Shopping, Photography and DJing. Below are the pictures of what's written on each one. Hope that you all enjoy until next time more than likely tomorrow ^^

Moving Forward....

Happy Tuesday to one and all. Today I am seriously considering moving my blog. Blogger has been great and all but there are certain things that I do not like, things which are really beginning to annoy me more and more as time goes on. I have dealt with WordPress more than once before and have begun to miss the layouts they has, as well as wondering what they have added and fixed since the last time I used it.

Another reason I want to move, in reality this blog was started as a hobby and as something that I was going to share with my then Husband in Second Life. Something to share our lives, take turns posting. I do not enjoy being reminded of that from time to time, even more so when I have moved on from it a great deal and am with someone new. You cannot truly let go of the past until everything has been dealt with in someway or manner. I suppose my blog from yesterday made me take a hard look at myself and decide what it is that I truly want.

Anyways I'm off to look at what WordPress now has to offer me, if all goes well....I'll be spending my day putting together another blog and transferring old posts over to it.

My Blogging Journey Challenge

I decided to do something a bit different today. Many times in the last few months I have found myself lurking on Strawberry Singh blog. She's such a talented writer and photographer; that I would be honored to one day met if it ever happens. So Mondays are Memes/Blog Challenges Days so I am going to do a two part blog; beginning with 'Why Do I Blog Meme' and a second post 'My Blogging Journey Challenge'

  1. Which electronic devices do you use to blog with? At the moment I only use my computer but that might change in the nest few days, since I've been eying the Blogger App for my Kindle.
  2. Do you have a mission statement for your blog, if so, what is it? I'm not so sure that it's a mission statement but rather a goal to write about things that I want to write about; be it photographs or clothing or events that I have been too or that I find interesting.
  3. How do you feel about blogs that use their platforms to spread negativity? I don't read them, there's no point too.
  4. Are you a grammar junkie? Do you thoroughly check your blog for errors before posting and/or do you judge other people’s posts if they contain errors? Yes, I am but I make many many mistakes even when I try to read over before hitting the Publish button. I do not however judge others blogs for those things. There are so many people from all over the world in Second Life; English isn't going to be everyone's main language.
  5. If you could switch blogs with another blogger who would it be? Harlow Heslop, her photographs are always so amazing, I would love to just be able to get into her head to know how she does it and why in such a way for each photograph she takes and edits.
  6. Has your blog/blogging style evolved over the year(s)? How? I suppose that I've become a bit more open and trying to let people come into my world.
  7. What is the most extraordinary thing that has happened to you because of blogging?I don't think anything extraordinary has ever happen other than finding out that a few friends actually do read my blog from time to time.
  8. When it comes to Second Life blogs, there are different styles: Fashion bloggers, Lifestyle & Travel bloggers, Informative bloggers, and more. Which style do you prefer and where do you feel your blog fits in? I personally like them all, reading about fashion all day can be great but sometime it can leave you feeling a bit burned out. That's the reason why I like reading about everything and anything at least once; it makes life more interesting don't you think? My blog....I honestly have no idea where it fits I honestly, I suppose for now it's that little wallflower that doesn't have a home.
  9. What has blogging taught you? Be yourself, do what you want, share what you want. You cannot please everyone so at the end of the day it's about sharing what you wish and pleasing yourself, that's it.
  10. Share your top 3 tips for new bloggers. Be yourself not matter what anyone says. Do what you wish to do; Your Blog, Your Rules. Try and Try again, you might feel as if no one will ever read your blog, I feel like that every day but it's all worth it when that one friend comes up to you and says 'Keep up the good work and keep your voice'.

Why Do I Blog Meme?

I decided to do something a bit different today. Many times in the last few months I have found myself lurking on Strawberry Singh blog. She's such a talented writer and photographer; that I would be honored to one day met if it ever happens. So Mondays are Memes/Blog Challenges Days so I am going to do a two part blog; beginning with 'Why Do I Blog Meme' and a second post 'My Blogging Journey Challenge'

  1. How long have you been blogging? Dealing with SL Things Since July 2013
  2. Why did you start blogging? I had the thought to start sharing the things which I enjoyed doing and wanted something creative to do.
  3. How many times a week do you post an entry? Sometimes once a week, or once a month. It really depends on how inspired I am and how busy my RL is.
  4. How many different blogs do you read on a regular basis? I read a lot... perhaps Twenty or more on a daily basis...
  5. Do you comment on other people’s blogs? Not very often.. I don't want to bother them with what I feel like are stupid comments and questions from myself.
  6. Do you keep track of how many visitors you have? I do and I don't, if at least one person reads then that makes me happy enough.
  7. Did you ever regret a post that you wrote? No, I write what I want and about what I want. My blog doesn't cover one thing alone.. it's a blog about me, things that I do and how I feel.
  8. Do you think your readers have a true sense of who you are based on your blog? If you have read some of my posts then yes.
  9. Do you blog under your real name? No I blog under my second life name when dealing with second life things...
  10. Are there topics that you would never blog about? Yes! Some personal things are not going to appear and other things will. I blog about what I like not what everyone else wants/expect me too.
  11. What is the theme/topic of your blog? My life in Second Life, that really is it nothing funny about it. It's just me...
  12. Do you have more than one blog? If so, why? Yes, I have a second blog dealing with Second Life when I thought that I was going to open a store but that fell through.. so it's still there until I delete it.
  13. What have you found to be the benefits of blogging? Being able to express myself and not caring what other people think of me. I had conformed so much within my first six months of second life, now it's been over a year since I have joined and I am doing things for myself and myself alone not for anyone else.
  14. So, why do you continue to blog? I like to express myself, like to have something to do every once in awhile. I might not post daily but I do try to post when I feel inspired.
