Bokeh Crazy!!!!!!

Last night I was randomly looking up Photoshop Tutorials and came across one of how to make your own Bokeh Effect. I thought that I would give it a try and came up with two original images of my own making below.

They may not look like much but to me someone who has been trying their hardest to figure out Photoshop, this is a huge step for me. It's so odd how simple steps can help to create something that I, myself find beautiful. Next I decided to play around with the effect a bit in photos that I took after my sister TPed me to; Lost Beach , a place that's great for photos if you have the animations as you cannot rez there at all.  Below is some of what I did.. it might not seem all that great but you cannot become better at something you are passionate about without trying and taking some risks.

See simple enough, I like how they came out. If anyone can send some more tips my way, I would be so appreciative. I'm using Photoshop CS6 if that helps out with anything... I leave you with a few more photos ♥

Did You Remember Too? Did You...?

First off I have to throw a lot of credit to miss Strawberry Singh, as once again thanks to lurking on her blog I have found something which made me not only smile but add a bit more to my office at the same time. :D At the end of her post for the Monday Meme she took a moment to talk about a new product from Plethora - The New Custom Tablets Priced at 1500L. I of course had to go have a look (Totally getting one next week!) and while I was there found quite a few things that I simply feel in love with but the thing that I ended up loving the very most were the Chalkboard Checklists!!! There are 10 commons and 2 rares to play for, each one is 1 land impact and are priced at 25L per gacha play. I got a few and set them up in my office; what do you all think?

Down Time at home in my office with Izzie ♥

My office for the time being

I love these cute little checklists, I placed out the four which I do use and think about the most often; Blogging,Shopping, Photography and DJing. Below are the pictures of what's written on each one. Hope that you all enjoy until next time more than likely tomorrow ^^

Moving Forward....

Happy Tuesday to one and all. Today I am seriously considering moving my blog. Blogger has been great and all but there are certain things that I do not like, things which are really beginning to annoy me more and more as time goes on. I have dealt with WordPress more than once before and have begun to miss the layouts they has, as well as wondering what they have added and fixed since the last time I used it.

Another reason I want to move, in reality this blog was started as a hobby and as something that I was going to share with my then Husband in Second Life. Something to share our lives, take turns posting. I do not enjoy being reminded of that from time to time, even more so when I have moved on from it a great deal and am with someone new. You cannot truly let go of the past until everything has been dealt with in someway or manner. I suppose my blog from yesterday made me take a hard look at myself and decide what it is that I truly want.

Anyways I'm off to look at what WordPress now has to offer me, if all goes well....I'll be spending my day putting together another blog and transferring old posts over to it.

My Blogging Journey Challenge

I decided to do something a bit different today. Many times in the last few months I have found myself lurking on Strawberry Singh blog. She's such a talented writer and photographer; that I would be honored to one day met if it ever happens. So Mondays are Memes/Blog Challenges Days so I am going to do a two part blog; beginning with 'Why Do I Blog Meme' and a second post 'My Blogging Journey Challenge'

  1. Which electronic devices do you use to blog with? At the moment I only use my computer but that might change in the nest few days, since I've been eying the Blogger App for my Kindle.
  2. Do you have a mission statement for your blog, if so, what is it? I'm not so sure that it's a mission statement but rather a goal to write about things that I want to write about; be it photographs or clothing or events that I have been too or that I find interesting.
  3. How do you feel about blogs that use their platforms to spread negativity? I don't read them, there's no point too.
  4. Are you a grammar junkie? Do you thoroughly check your blog for errors before posting and/or do you judge other people’s posts if they contain errors? Yes, I am but I make many many mistakes even when I try to read over before hitting the Publish button. I do not however judge others blogs for those things. There are so many people from all over the world in Second Life; English isn't going to be everyone's main language.
  5. If you could switch blogs with another blogger who would it be? Harlow Heslop, her photographs are always so amazing, I would love to just be able to get into her head to know how she does it and why in such a way for each photograph she takes and edits.
  6. Has your blog/blogging style evolved over the year(s)? How? I suppose that I've become a bit more open and trying to let people come into my world.
  7. What is the most extraordinary thing that has happened to you because of blogging?I don't think anything extraordinary has ever happen other than finding out that a few friends actually do read my blog from time to time.
  8. When it comes to Second Life blogs, there are different styles: Fashion bloggers, Lifestyle & Travel bloggers, Informative bloggers, and more. Which style do you prefer and where do you feel your blog fits in? I personally like them all, reading about fashion all day can be great but sometime it can leave you feeling a bit burned out. That's the reason why I like reading about everything and anything at least once; it makes life more interesting don't you think? My blog....I honestly have no idea where it fits I honestly, I suppose for now it's that little wallflower that doesn't have a home.
  9. What has blogging taught you? Be yourself, do what you want, share what you want. You cannot please everyone so at the end of the day it's about sharing what you wish and pleasing yourself, that's it.
  10. Share your top 3 tips for new bloggers. Be yourself not matter what anyone says. Do what you wish to do; Your Blog, Your Rules. Try and Try again, you might feel as if no one will ever read your blog, I feel like that every day but it's all worth it when that one friend comes up to you and says 'Keep up the good work and keep your voice'.

Why Do I Blog Meme?

I decided to do something a bit different today. Many times in the last few months I have found myself lurking on Strawberry Singh blog. She's such a talented writer and photographer; that I would be honored to one day met if it ever happens. So Mondays are Memes/Blog Challenges Days so I am going to do a two part blog; beginning with 'Why Do I Blog Meme' and a second post 'My Blogging Journey Challenge'

  1. How long have you been blogging? Dealing with SL Things Since July 2013
  2. Why did you start blogging? I had the thought to start sharing the things which I enjoyed doing and wanted something creative to do.
  3. How many times a week do you post an entry? Sometimes once a week, or once a month. It really depends on how inspired I am and how busy my RL is.
  4. How many different blogs do you read on a regular basis? I read a lot... perhaps Twenty or more on a daily basis...
  5. Do you comment on other people’s blogs? Not very often.. I don't want to bother them with what I feel like are stupid comments and questions from myself.
  6. Do you keep track of how many visitors you have? I do and I don't, if at least one person reads then that makes me happy enough.
  7. Did you ever regret a post that you wrote? No, I write what I want and about what I want. My blog doesn't cover one thing alone.. it's a blog about me, things that I do and how I feel.
  8. Do you think your readers have a true sense of who you are based on your blog? If you have read some of my posts then yes.
  9. Do you blog under your real name? No I blog under my second life name when dealing with second life things...
  10. Are there topics that you would never blog about? Yes! Some personal things are not going to appear and other things will. I blog about what I like not what everyone else wants/expect me too.
  11. What is the theme/topic of your blog? My life in Second Life, that really is it nothing funny about it. It's just me...
  12. Do you have more than one blog? If so, why? Yes, I have a second blog dealing with Second Life when I thought that I was going to open a store but that fell through.. so it's still there until I delete it.
  13. What have you found to be the benefits of blogging? Being able to express myself and not caring what other people think of me. I had conformed so much within my first six months of second life, now it's been over a year since I have joined and I am doing things for myself and myself alone not for anyone else.
  14. So, why do you continue to blog? I like to express myself, like to have something to do every once in awhile. I might not post daily but I do try to post when I feel inspired.

What the hell do I wear.....?

What the hell do I wear today....? It's a question that we have all faced at one time or another within Second Life. Suddenly everything in our inventory isn't what we want.. I've had it happen to me quite a few times, ending up going out and about in pajamas. Other times we are tempted to delete everything that we have and start fresh; as tempting as that might be you need to remember the thousands and thousands of linden we have spent building up our wardrobe.

So on days such as this I end up going about in what I wore the day before until I suddenly have an idea and change or switch up my hair, pants and shoes at the very least. Perhaps a different color top, it can do wonders.

I need a few more fairs that's for sure given that most things for summertime that I have are all mesh or non-mesh without appliers. I would like some non-mesh items with appliers as well, since I now have a Lolas and CuteAzz obsession.

I guess I'll stop freaking out about what to wear and go back to trying to figure out photo editing a bit more. I admit I am green with envy over others pictures they have created; for they know how to do that very thing I love and wish I could do myself... if only someone offered a photoshop class inworld that was step by step. All of the blogs I have come across are wonderful but sometimes it helps to have a step by step run down of what was done and why it was done....

One day... *sighs*

Spring Time

So here I am again once more falling behind with blogging, I do apology to those of you who read. I've become obsessed with Photoshop CS6 since I've gotten it, along with tweaking my settings in firestorm a bit more. (I finally know how to mirror water properly!!!) It's finally spring in full effect, new fashions and styles are coming out now almost weekly if not more. I've been to so many fairs and events now, seen many highs and lows. I promise that for the next fair I will write a blog about it and not just post a few pictures here and there to facebook. But one fair that everyone should go to if they are in love with taking photos in Second Life as I am; Pose Fair 2014! Open from April 19th until May 3rd. Do not miss it over 100 stores!!!!

I found quite a few little goodies that I'll try to share over the next few days. Here's one from Exposeur that I simply had to pick up and had quite a bit of fun testing it out with my husband.

Let Me Take A Selfie #1

Hopefully I'll be able to share another one tomorrow that I am really liking if I can catch my sister :D I think she might enjoy it as well. This is getting a bit long now so I started write another post about all that I have been up too with many pictures included. Stay safe and enjoy the magic of springtime everyone \0/

What has Sɨℓνεя been up too....

The last time I wrote a post it was for St. Patrick's Day which was a month ago now. What have I been up too since then; a good many things. I've been working within SL once more and gotten back to DJing once in a blue moon wanting to explore a few things while keeping it lighthearted and fun. There is no point to having a job in SL unless it's something you truly enjoy doing; otherwise it's going to turn into a chore which you hate having to do. I suppose that's why I try to space things out a bit so I never feel too overwhelmed if that it the correct word for it. So here are a few things that I have been up too that I have pictures of.

Learning a bit more in regards to editing pictures. I love to take photographs in Second Life, most people who take the time to get to know me, know this. I finally started up a good bit once again, it was something I enjoyed and I am now in a place to truly enough such once more. The above is a before and after piece that I did with my sister Mandy as model, maybe you see some differences maybe not but it was a fun piece I enjoyed editing.

Next here are a pair of the many shoes that I've become obsessed with from REIGN These are the Georgia Sandal - Gray for Slink Flat Feet available at  The Big Show. Nail Polish that I am wearing is by Flair with appliers for Slink Hands and Feet, they have a pretty good selection so be sure to take a look.

Next Up was my Sister Mandy's Birthday! It was a really nice day with my Brother in law asking me to help out, so I made the above posters for her which I am so happy with. I was impressed with myself that I could get something out so quickly. :D

You can see that she enjoyed her party very much for which I am quite glad. It was a wonderful day for everyone leading up to a holiday which was the very next day.

Easter Sunday came and I had the house nice and decorated for the event, I found quite a few low prim goodies on Market Place for pretty cheap. But I suddenly began to wonder do people go to church in Second Life; I mean sure for weddings we all do but what about certain holidays which lead me to wonder more... Is there and Orthodox Church in Second Life????

The answer to my question was yes. I was pretty impressed as I was raised Orthodox in RL, my habits of going to church for the past few years in adulthood have been very slim to none. Icons, the Pascal Service actually playing on the land stream complete with music from the choir...I was impressed and stayed for a little over an hour listening to hymns learned as a child.

All in all it was a great day, getting to spend a bit of time with a few of my SL sisters as well as my brother when he streams music late at night which turned into a pretty long night with me going to bed at 3am in the morning...Monday was not kind to me to say the very least. I hope that you all enjoyed you Easter and are still enjoying your Second Life.
